You need to keep your hands off your face
This may be tempting to do, but always resist the urge to pick your pimple. Once you’ve picked at an acne lesion, it will take longer to heal which is more likely to cause a scar.
Try to apply warm compress
You can use a warm compress to bring it to the surface. This helps to soothe the skin if you feel a blemish coming on. Also, you can use a cold compress to bring down the swelling of a large painful blemish.
Wash your face regularly
You should note that your glands are active all day. So, when the oil combines with make-up and dirt, it can clog the pores and cause blemishes. To avoid this, take a shower or use a cleansing towel to clean your face off.
Go light on your make-up
Beauty products are one of the most common causes of adult acne, and unfortunately, using heavy dust make-up to hide your blemishes won’t make them disappear. Instead, use mineral make-up on your skin rather than oil-based products that can contribute to breakouts.
Medicate if necessary
It is advisable that you talk to a dermatologist. A dermatologist will find a treatment for the type of your skin to prevent acne and scars.
The face is the most visible part of your body. So, take the necessary precautions to keep your skin glowing.
